Kim graduated from Otago University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and brings a decade of private practice experience to Avalon Physio. Her career began in New Zealand, working alongside elite sports physiotherapists, including those affiliated with New Zealand Football. She also contributed her skills to the World Masters Games in 2017, gaining valuable experience treating acute sporting injuries in a high-performance environment.
Since relocating to Perth in 2019, Kim has broadened her clinical scope with a strong focus on chronic pain, post-operative rehabilitation, and workers’ compensation cases. She has a particular interest in managing acute injuries—drawn to the fast, visible improvements—and takes pride in supporting patients through pre- and post-operative rehab, especially for knee replacements. Her approach is hands-on, incorporating strong manual therapy techniques and dry needling to achieve optimal outcomes. Kim also enjoys treating neck pain and headaches, appreciating the significant relief patients often experience with targeted care.
Outside the clinic, Kim lives an active, family-focused lifestyle. She loves camping and caravanning with her husband and kids, and can often be found strength training or enjoying an iced latte by the beach. Originally from South Africa, she also speaks Afrikaans and brings a warm, grounded presence to every patient interaction.

Christine has a particular passion for helping patients overcome low back and neck pain, combining manual therapy and active rehabilitation strategies to deliver meaningful, lasting outcomes. Her compassionate, down-to-earth approach allows her to connect deeply with each patient, empowering them to return to the activities they love with confidence.
Outside the clinic, Christine enjoys a vibrant family life and an impressively eclectic mix of hobbies—including basketball, jogging, photography, painting, piano, and crosswords.
